Q. When Foreign Energy Investors take out land for Windmill Construction. Are we supposed to giggle with excitement that Government is once again doing Business as Usual. Obama has agreed to let Big Energy choose the spots they want. Eminent Domain Laws choose the new owner of your land. Normally I try to agree with SCOTUS but this one "Chaps my hide"

A. The Constitution (5th Amendment) specifically allows for Eminent Domain with just compensation, which generally means market value. The Supreme Court has upheld this numerous times, the Constitution is clear on this issue. I don't necessarily agree with all the reasons why the government chooses to invoke Eminent Domain, but it is Constitutional
